Peep Pre-school has been set up to provide pre-school places for children aged 2-3 years. We are based in the Dovecote Centre in the heart of Greater Leys.

Our aim is to work in partnership with you to provide the best care and education for your child before they start school. We will ensure that your child has an enjoyable time with us and that we offer a routine which is varied and fun. Read more about what happens in our Pre-school, and about the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We are registered with Ofsted to care for 20 children aged from 2-3 years.  Ofsted Registration No: EY483773

morning session 8.45 - 11.45am        afternoon session 12.15 - 3.15pm    all day 8.45am - 3.15pm

price and booking
£16.50 per morning or afternoon session, or free if covered by 2-year old or 3-year old funding - see below.
£35 per all day session.

free early education and childcare at Peep Pre-school
All 3 and 4-year-olds and some 2-year-olds in England are entitled to 570 hours of free early education or childcare a year. This is often taken as 15 hours each week for 38 weeks of the year (equivalent to every week during term-time).

3-year old funding
Every three year old in the country is entitled to nursery education funding the term after their 3rd birthday. This funding is for up to 15 hours per week.

2-year old funding
You are also entitled to 15 hours per week of free childcare for your 2 year old, if you claim any of the following:

  • Income Support

  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)

  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

  • support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act

  • the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credits, and you have an annual income not over £16,190

  • the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

Children are also entitled to a funded place if:

  • they’re looked after by a local council

  • they have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education health and care plan

  • they get Disability Living Allowance

  • they’ve left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order.
